HGTV announced the winner of its annual Smart Home giveaway on Wednesday morning, and this year’s lucky recipient is none other than Joanna Gaine of Atlanta, Georgia.

This is the first time that a city in the Southeast has been chosen as the location for the HGTV Smart Home, and Gaine is the first single mother to win the grand prize. The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home is outfitted with the latest in high-tech gadgets and appliances, and Gaine will also receive a $100,000 cash prize to help her pay for taxes and other expenses.

“I’m still in shock! I can’t believe I’m the winner of the HGTV Smart Home 2016,” Gaine said in a statement. “As a single mom, this couldn’t have come at a better time. Thank you so much, HGTV!” Gaine will get to experience all the perks of living in a high-tech home, from automated blinds and a whole-house audio system to a state-of-the-art kitchen and a home office with built-in shelving and a custom desk.

HGTV Smart Home Winner Announced After weeks of anticipation, HGTV has finally announced the winner of its Smart Home sweepstakes. The lucky grand prize winner is Nicole Curtis, a mother of two from Detoit, Michigan.

Curtis was presented with the keys to the home during a special episode of HGTV Smart Home, which aired on April 28.  “I’m still in shock. I never win anything,” Curtis said during the show. “This is life-changing.”  The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home is located in Scottsdale, Arizona and comes complete with top-of-the-line tech amenities and decor.  Some of the highlights of the home include a fully-equipped kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, a state-of-the-art home theater, a luxe outdoor living space and a state-of-the-art security system.
