U.S. TV house FX are moving forward with plans to make a limited TV series from the acclaimed 1826 James Fennimore Cooper novel The Last Of The Mohicans. Most people will remember the 1992 film of the same name directed by Michael Mann that starred Daniel Day-Lewis and Madeliene Stowe. The Last Of The Mohicans tells the tale of 1757 America during the French and Native Indian War as told through the eyes of a European man raised in the Mohican Indian tradition.
The 1992 screenwriter Chris Crowe is set to write the TV script for the series.
My thanks to THR for the heads up.
