Writing and performing their own unique brand of upbeat summery tunes, indie four-piece Dutch Criminal Record return with new single ‘Waiting on the Weekend’ August 10th, taken from their upcoming EP dropping August 24th, after being supported by BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and Spotify Official playlist ‘Fresh Finds’.
Having been together for six years, forming in their high school GCSE class in Chichester, Dutch Criminal Record have created a unique writing and performing method, whereby there’s no frontman but three vocalists that sing their own songs.
Their original style has led to support from the likes of BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, as well as receiving considerable airplay on Regional BBC Radio, including a live performance from BBC Broadcasting House Brighton.
With nearly 1 million Spotify streams, Dutch Criminal Record draw immediate comparisons to the likes of Vampire Weekend, Two Door Cinema Club and The Beach Boys. Their upcoming EP ‘Waiting on the Weekend’, bursting with interlinking riffs, melodic vocals and blooming harmonies, offers six memorable tracks inspired by 90s production aesthetics, dropping August 24th.
