Listen: ‘Velcro’ by Approachable Members of Your Local Community

I just love everything about this Melbourne outfit. This soothing tonic of a disco infused jam isjust the brightest warm hug you need today! Hit play, kiddies, hit play!

Approachable Members of Your Local Community unveil new single ‘Velcro’ – the third offering from their highly-anticipated forthcoming debut EP ‘If There’s Anything You Need, Please Don’t Hesitate To Contact Us’ (due May 25).

‘Velcro’ is a spicy disco-pop jam, held together tightly by its funk-laden rhythmic section. Glimmering with hypnotising keys, sweeping psychedelic guitars and capped off by the infectious and unique vocals melodies of front man, Josh Blashki.

Previous single ‘Semiotic Vision’ was strongly supported via Australian radio stations triple j, triple j Unearthed, FBi, 3RRR, 4ZZZ, SYN FM, Radio Adelaide and Edge Radio, worldwide blogs and added to a slew of official Spotify curated playlists including Fresh Finds (USA), The Office Stereo (AUS/NZ), New Alternative (NLD) and New Music Friday in both Australia and Netherlands.

The band sold out their headline show at The Toff In Town, Melbourne, and performed at indie club night Rare Finds in Sydney and at The Squeeze mini-festival alongside Lime Cordiale and Bootleg Rascal. On the week of the tracks release in early-March, the group also performed on Kira Puru’s ‘Tension’ tour to enthusiastic sold-out crowds.

In the coming weeks, Approachable Members of Your Local Community will reveal an accompanying music video.

‘Velcro’ is available worldwide on Friday May 11
