The 2018 DGA Awards Announced! Jordan Peele wins Best First Time Feature for ‘Get Out’!

Yes, the DGAs are underway and Matthew Heineman’s non-Oscar nominated documentary City of Ghosts took out the Best Director category and handed him his second DGA after the stunning Cartel Land. Jordan Peele picked up Best First Time Feature Director for his smash hit Get Out. Guillermo Del Toro picked up Best Director Feature Film for The Shape of Water.

Veep scored Best Comedy Series Director for Beth McCarthy-Miller and her episode Chicklet. Jean-Marc Valee continued his winning streak for Big Little Lies as he scooped the Best Director Movies for Television and Mini-Series. The Handmaid’s Tale picked up Best Director for Reed Romano’s wok on the pilot episode Offred.
