Dropping into Venice, California for 26 year old Nick Wallace aka NØVE and new pop confection Let You Go. It’s a radio-friendly, toe tapping groover and a pearler of a follow on from his E.P. Dark Paradise.
Venice native electro/R&B artist NØVE has released his new single “Let You Go” – the follow-up to his debut EP Dark Paradise. The track premiered exclusively at Paste Magazine, who calls it “a necessary track on your pre-summer playlist.”
NØVE is known for creating smooth, sexy melodies, but his music serves a dual purpose. 26-year-old artist Nick Wallace has had an interest in music as far back as he can remember, singing from a young age. Wallace learned guitar in his pre-teens, but what always spoke to him were the melodies. A lifelong native of Los Angeles, he also drew from his upbringing in Venice Beach, describing it as growing up in the iconic film Lords of Dogtown.
After the success of Dark Paradise, NØVE has again partnered with producer Johnny What (one third of Rostrum Records artist BRÅVES) to reached new heights in vocal ability, songwriting, and most of all – emotion. “I wanted to write a feel good song about love. Something that everybody could relate to,” explains NØVE. “That vibe when something feels so new and powerful and you never want it to end. The line ‘never let you go’ speaks to that, but was also the first line I wrote. The rest of the story just unfolded on its own.”
