Brett Gleason’s ‘Manifest’ Arrives! Listen To It Here!

We’ve been following? tracking? stalking?… Well, ok, taken keen interest in artist Brett Gleason ever since we stumbled upon Expiration Date earlier this year and, more recently, the stunner If I Could. As with all good music aficionados, we then jumped back to 2014 and checked out Gleason’s hugely impressive self titled debut album and, from there, we knew we were on a winner.

Well, the man has dropped his sophomore album Manifest on us and, much like this singles we’ve heard thus far, it’s a work of introspection and dazzling musical flourishes. He finds such ease in being intimate as he does theatrical and it’s all on display here.

Brett Gleason has released his much-anticipated sophomore album, Manifest. The album is the follow up to Brett’s acclaimed 2014 self-titled effort, and features the singles “If I Could” and “Expiration Date.” AXS.com premiered the album in full this week and Atwood Magazine said the album shows “an artist truly finding his footing as a great songwriter.”

Brett had this to say about the record: “My 2nd album, ‘Manifest’ feels more like my first as I strip down my sound to address the basic themes of humanity such as love, loss, death & time with the fresh perspective of an artist reborn. Whereas my debut album of dark, electro rock dealt with the drama of mental illness – ‘Manifest’ is my re-initiation into the life of the living as I try to live and love in the light of the world. It’s not easy but armed with my piano, an acoustic guitar, and poetry – I’m starting to navigate this complexly beautiful world and have devoted ‘Manifest’ to my first forays into its depths.”

Fans can now purchase the album on iTunes and Brett’s official site. Stream the album in full over on Spotify.

To celebrate the release of Manifest, Brett will be performing a record release show at  Pianos in NYC on release day. Tickets are still available here.

Brett also has the following live dates confirmed:

4.21 // Boston, MA // PA’s Lounge
4.24 // Philadelphia, PA // Kung Fu Necktie
5.26 // Washington, DC // Ebenezers Coffeehouse

A multi-instrumentalist and self-produced artist, Brett Gleason constructs deceptively complex songs that twist and turn but effortlessly stay in your head and burrow into your heart. His piano playing is the cornerstone of most songs as he often performs solo but there’s not one instance where he doesn’t also accompany himself on guitar, bass and at least one other instrument.

Gleason’s self-titled debut album was a dark mix of piano pop and electro rock and debuted in the Top 100 of the iTunes Alternative Charts in 2014. It produced 5 music videos & was called “An absolute winner,” by Regen Magazine.
