Listen: ‘The Meadows’ by Dear Seattle

Dont be fooled into thinking Dear Seattle are from Washington, U.S.A. – they are local lads from Sydney. The gang have dropped their new ditty The Meadows (complete with an official video no less!) that reminds us of the glory days of grunge and alternative rock n roll.

Sydney’s Dear Seattle are here to serve you up with a broad spectrum of headbanging, beer-in-the-sky melodic indie rock with their new single “The Meadows“. The first track off their upcoming EP, Dear Seattle are made unique by their high impact sing-along choruses reminiscent of early 90’s grunge in a similar vein of Aussie favourites Violent Soho, Luca Brasi, Tired Lion, and British India.

The four piece have spent the last couple of years honing their signature sound following the prior release of their debut EP “Words Are Often Useless” and a split-release with Melbourne based act Fresh Nelson. Having now evolved their style, and had a slight line-up change, the band is seeing incredible traction following the release of the first single and video for “The Meadows” off their upcoming sophomore EP.

Dear Seattle are no strangers to the scene; having spent the past three years building on their dedicated audience up and down Australia’s East Coast, sharing the stage with the likes of Citizen (US), Emarosa (US), Trophy Eyes (AUS), and Balance and Composure (US) as well as playing a range of festivals (UnFun, Bondi Blitz). All of which has led to their ability to deliver an impressive and energetic live performance. Check out a clip from their latest headline show below, and keep your eyes peeled for a national tour being announced soon.
