The Resurgence of Colin Farrell Continues with Tim Burton’s Dumbo

He’s been making some smart choices of late, ye olde Colin Farrell, from Seven Psychopaths, The Lobster,  and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (all of which he’s been turning in great performances), the man has found himself back on form and on the wanted list.

Deadline reports that Farrell has signed on to join the Disney’s Dumbo remake with director Tim Burton. He’ll join Eva Green and Danny Devito in the film that is being written by franchise destroyer Ehren Kruger (Scream 3, Scream 4, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Transformers: Age of Extinction). Will Smith is rumoured to star as the villain, though that has yet to be confirmed.

Production on Dumbo starts later this year.

Next up for Farrell is his second collaboration after The Lobster with Yorgos Lathimos in The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
