In an age where female directors seem to be an endangered species in mainstream film, the independent scene still has a thriving and celebrated roster of impeccable talent.
One of them is Rebecca Miller who gave us Maggie’s Plan, Personal Velocity, and The Ballad of Jack and Rose. Sure, her name hasn’t cracked the mainstream as brightly as it should but it surely attracts big name talent when it comes to cast.
Her next big outing is She Came to Me, a romantic comedy/drama around opera, and Miller has landed the talents of Steve Carell, Nicole Kidman and Amy Schumer to star. No scheduled start date has been announced as yet.
