The 31st Annual Goya Awards Announced! Fury of a Patient Man wins Best Film! A Monster Calls swoops 11 Gongs!

The Spanish Oscars were handed down last night to an upset win for Raul Arevalo’s first directorial effort Fury of a Patient Man (Tarde Para La Ira) which took out Best Film, Best New Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor.

The biggest winner on the night was J.A. Bayona’s English language fantasy drama A Monster Calls which took out 9 awards for Best Director, Original Score, Production Design, Cinematography, Editing, Art Direction, Make Up & Hair, Sound and Special Effects.
