The 2017 Producers Guild Awards Announced! La La Land Wins Best Picture!

The PGAs for 2017 have just been announced and it was Damien Chazelle’s musical La La Land that took out top prize of Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures for Fred Berger, Jordan Horowitz and Marc Platt, Zootopia took out Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures for Clark Spencer and O.J.: Made in America took out Outstanding Producer of Documentary Theatrical Motion Pictures for Ezra Edelman and Caroline Waterlow. These nods make these three films the front runners in their respective Best Picture, Best Animated Film and Best Documentary categories at the Oscars.

In television Stranger Things picked up Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Drama for Matt Duffer, Ross Duffer, Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen and Iain Paterson, whilst Atlanta scooped Danny Thomas Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Comedy for Donald Glover, Dianne McGunigle, Paul Simms, Hiro Murai and Alex Orr.
