The Official Call of Cthulhu Videogame Trailer Will Send You to the Brink!

Very excited about this one. Call of Cthulhu; beloved and horrific creation from master of horror H.P Lovecraft has been entertaining folks since its free license opened up many opportunities to experience the mythos. Tabletop games of the role-playing ilk is where it truly flourished, and yet although you may not have heard of it you have definitely experienced it. Lovecraft’s unique brand of existential alien horror has influenced popular culture such as film (Alien, Cabin in the Woods, Cloverfield, Event Horizon, Pontypool) and television (X-Files, Wayward Pines), as well as other video-games (Silent Hill, Eternal Darkness, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Alan Wake). The tropes and experiences these examples have in common with the original conception is the non-religious horror; the type of horrible experience that makes no sense, and is damaging to your mind and soul.

Luckily, we need not worry about those last shreds of sanity, as the (finally) officially licensed game is coming out this year!
