The National Society of Film Critics Awards for 2016 Announced! Moonlight wins Best Picture!

Barry Jenkins’ Moonlight is really starting to make its presence felt in the awards season and, along with Manchester by the Sea, it’s now anyone’s guess for Best Picture Oscar which, for a good long while, seemed a lock for La La Land. Moonlight also took out Best Director (Barry Jenkins), Best Cinematography (James Laxton) and Best Supporting Actor (Mahershala Ali). Manchester by the Sea took out Best Screenplay (Kenneth Lonergan), Best Actor (Casey Affleck) and Best Supporting Actress (Michelle Williams). O.J.: Made in America won Best Documentary, Toni Erdmann – Best Foreign Language Film and Isabelle Huppert took out Best Actress for two performances in Elle and Things to Come.
