Leigh Whannell’s ‘Stem’ to Shoot in Melbourne

He’s one half of the Saw and Insidious franchise creators alongside James Wan and Leigh Whannell popped his directorial cherry with the 3rd instalment of the latter series. Well, it seems one good turn deserves another as Whannell is set to direct again with a new film he’s written entitled Stem.

A sci-fi thriller, Stem tells the tale of a futuristic world where technology controls everything and a disabled man uses a computer implant to assist him in avenging his wife’s death. Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus) is cast as the lead.

The best news about this Goalpost Pictures/Blumhouse Production is that the film is set to shoot in Whannell’s home town of Melbourne! Stem is set to shoot later this year.

STEM will be released in AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND TBA through MADMAN ENTERTAINMENT
