Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards Announced! Moonlight Best Picture!

Moonlight PosterThe LA Film Critics Association (LAFCA) handed down their 2016 awards and it was Barry Jenkins’ independent darling Moonlight that took out Best Film, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor and Best Cinematography. The groundswell on Moonlight, in particular, is really putting the film in major Oscar contention and you can all but lock Jenkins as Best Director. Adam Driver took Best Actor for Paterson and Isabelle Huppert took Best Actress for her turns in Elle and Things to Come. Lily Gladstone nabbed Best Supporting Actress for Certain Women. I am Not Your Negro nabbed Best Documentary and Your Name took out Best Animated Film.
