Listen: ‘Row’ by Smith & Thell

Off to Sweden for folky funsters Smith & Thell and their brand new track Row. Shimmering pop fun awaits accompanied by a film clip of whimsy and cute animation!

Swedish folk-pop duo Smith & Thell have unveiled the official music video for their single “Row,” which premiered exclusively at PopDust. PopDust refers to the buzzy duo as “Lumineers-glossed” and “cinematic,” who are coming off a successful summer with their debut release of “Statue.”
Maria Jane Smith and Victor Thell have spent the last few years establishing themselves as one of Sweden’s most sought after songwriter & producer duos. Together they’ve contributed as composers on songs that have totaled to be streamed over 200 million times.
“We shot the video on an island called Gotland, which is a 3-hour boat ride from Stockholm,” explains Maria.  “Some call it ‘God’s Land’ because of the beautiful landscapes and it is also the home of legendary Swedish movie director Ingmar Bergman. The song ‘Row’ is about fighting through the metaphorical mud and dirt in life, and looking your demons and monsters right in the eyes and making it through tough times. Throughout the video we’re collecting little pieces that might look rusty and ugly on their own, but when put together, they end up creating something beautiful.”
Fans can expect more new music from Smith & Thell in 2017. For more information on the band, be sure to follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Soundcloud.
