One good turn deserves another and, considering The Lego Movie grossed $469m globally on a $60m budget, the follow up fuses two of Warner Bros biggest properties – Batman and Lego. Basically, this is a merchandising dream and a license to print money. With Chris McKay (Robot Chicken, editor of The Lego Movie) directing and a voice cast including Will Arnett, Ralph Feinnes, Rosario Dawson and Michael Cera – things are looking decidedly fab for The Lego Batman Movie.
Synopsis: In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble—LEGO Batman—stars in his own big-screen adventure: “The LEGO® Batman Movie.” But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
