Bryan Singer (X-Men, X-Men 2, X-Men: Days Of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalyptic Disaster) is also in talks to direct Bohemian Rhapsody, the biopic on Queen that’s being set up by Graham King’s GK Films and 20th Century Fox.
It’s been a rocky road for this project with Sacha Baron Cohen originally attached to a Peter Morgan written script, he famously walked off the project over creative differences with the music producers and band members Brian May & Roger Taylor.
The film was then re-set with Dexter Fletcher directing Ben Whishaw in the role of Mercury but that also fell apart.
Deadline are reporting the 20th Century Fox are keen to get this moving as the film has been in development since 2008 over at GK Films. This most current version has been written by Anthony McCarten (The Theory of Everything) and is scheduled to get the cameras rolling next year.
