One of our faves from New York City, Slow Sugar, return with the smouldering sexiness of Shotgun. There’s little wonder why this duo are turning heads left, right and centre – it’s an absolutely cracking song!

NYC atmospheric pop duo Slow Sugar has released their new single “Shotgun” – following up the success of “Hypnotic Love” and “Pieces,” released earlier in 2016. Ones to Watch refers to the track as “irresistibly scrumptious alt-pop,” which is now available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud, and other digital platforms.
Slow Sugar has seen immediate success across the blogosphere and NYC music scene in their short existence. They reached as high as #13 on the Hype Machine popular chart with their most recent single “Pieces,” along with receiving high praise from sources like Idolator, Press Play, Baeble Music, PopularTV, PopWrapped, and many others. “Hypnotic Love” also racked up a modest 75,000 combined streams across Spotify and Soundcloud in its first month.
“’Shotgun’ is the first song Alex and I wrote together and it’s also the song that has undergone the most transformations,” explains vocalist Danielle Harris. “When I heard it all finally come together I had chills. It keys into the emotional flux of a turbulent relationship – the coldness of knowing better, the vulnerability of losing control, and the power of making that choice to indulge in it anyway.”
