Bryan Fuller leaves Star Trek Discovery

If ever there was a man working in television that doesn’t have time to think, it’s Bryan Fuller. The genius behind shows such as Pushing Daisies, Dead Like Me and the flawless Hannibal, has been hard at work on the new Star Trek: Discovery CBS series, the American Gods Starz series and the reboot of NBC’s Amazing Stories.

Well, proving that one can has too much on the plate, news in has Fuller exiting his role as showrunner on Star Trek: Discovery so he can devote more time to American Gods and Amazing Stories. This is an amicable split and the show’s executive producers Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts are taking up the reigns as showrunners. Fuller will remain on Discovery as an executive producer alongside co-creator Alex Kurtzman.
