The 2014 Gotham Award Winners Announced!

The movie awards season is well underway with New York’s Gotham Awards winners announced and Birdman took out Best Feature. The big surprise is best Documentary which went to Citizenfour, the Edward Snowden flick, that snapped the prize from favourite Life Itself about film critic Roger Ebert. The trio of actors from Foxcatcher (Steve Carell, Channing Tatum & Mark Ruffalo) received a special Jury award for their performances and Julianne Moore begins her charge as Best Actress for Still Alice. Michael Keaton nabbed Best Actor for Birdman and Tessa Thompson took out Breakthrough actor for Dear White People. Boyhood nabbed the audience award.
