X-Men Apocalypse Gets Its Bad Guy, Wonder Woman Gets Her Director

X-Men Apocalypse, Bryan Singer’s follow up to this years smash X-Men: Days Of Future Past, has announced that Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis, A Most Violent Year) has landed to coveted titular role of Apocalypse. Apocalypse is one of the oldest mutants, whose history reaches back to ancient Egypt where he was idolised like a God.

Over at DC/WB the long search for a director of the first Wonder Woman live action feature, in which Gal Gadot is playing the superhero, has come to an end as Breaking Bad/Game Of Thrones/The Walking Dead director Michelle MacLaren has accepted the task of helming the project. This will mark the first female director to take on a big studio superhero film and what a property to land! Rumours have it that this origin story will be set in the 1920’s though it is still unconfirmed that this is the direction the story will take.
