How exciting is this project?! The rejuvenation of Aussie genre continues in Midnight Snack Productions new mini series – Restoration. Look out for it in 2015, peoples!
Here’s the press release!
The first official stills for Director Stuart Willis and Producer Toby Gibson’s science-fiction film RESTORATION have been released. The stills provide a first look at the project’s main cast and sets constructed at Docklands Studios Melbourne during principal photography earlier in the year.
Nadia Townsend (Knowing, City Homicide) Grant Cartwright (Death Star PR) and Stephen Carracher (Vanished) lead the cast of RESTORATION, a sci-fi story co-written by Willis and screenwriter Matthew Clayfield.
Set in a near-future world where humans have their memories downloaded for backup, RESTORATION tells the story of a man, Oliver Klein (Cartwright), who awakes with his memories restored into a body that is not his own. Stephen Carracher is Gavin Worth, the man whose body becomes the vessel for Oliver’s restored memories. Nadia Townsend plays Emma Laws, a technician who works at Restoration Life Services, the high-tech memory backup facility at the centre of the story.
RESTORATION is a Midnight Snack Production and will be released in 2015 as both a one hour segment and three-part miniseries. Co-Producer and XYZ Films’ Acquisitions Executive Simon de Bruyn is working together with Producer Toby Gibson in exploring innovative avenues for both domestic and international broadcast and VOD distribution. “It’s exciting to know that we have something very special in our hands as we actively begin to explore broad avenues for future distribution,” says Gibson.
Post Production and VFX specialists Cutting Edge continue to provide post production support while editing nears completion with seasoned Editor Cindy Clarkson (Canopy, Van Diemen’s Land).
