Philip K. Dick’s ‘The Crawlers’ Headed To The Big Screen

This will mark the 13th adaptation of a Philip K. Dick story into a feature film as Edward R. Pressman is ramping up production on The Crawlers. The story, set in rural 1960’s Texas, tells of land surveyor who investigates strange occurences in the small town of Boyle. The residents are equally as strange and a monstrous secret is revealed. Jason Lapeyre (I Declare War) is set to direct. Pressman had this to say to The Wrap:

“As a long-time fan of Philip K. Dick’s storytelling, I am honored to partner with his daughter, Isa, to bring this unique piece of his work to the screen,” said Pressman. “Jason Lapeyre’s vision combined with artist Patricia Piccinini’s haunting designs and Steve Johnson’s special effects savvy makes this the perfect team to do the job.” – Linda Ge and Jeff Sneider, The Wrap
