Daina Reid  – One of Australia’s most sought-after Directors

Daina Reid’s extensive career reads as a history of some of Australia’s most eminent television.

Daina started her career in front of the camera in the world of dance and acting but now is one of the most sought after behind-the-scenes players in Australia as a director. Her first feature film, I Love You Too, released in 2010 starred Brendan Cowell and Daina’s impressive directing television credits include: Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo and its follow-up; Magazine Wars, Howzat! Kerry Packer’s War, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Rush and Offspring as well as the recent Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS.

Currently in ‘post’ on the anticipated two-part Secret River, based on the prize winning novel of Kate Grenville, Daina joins host Margot McDonald to share and explore the ins and outs of  ‘directing in a pressure cooker’.
