Neal Shusterman’s 2007 novel UNWIND about a world where parents can choose to have the organs of their teenage children transplanted into selected donors by a process called being ‘unwound’ has been snapped up by Constantin Film.
Reads very much like a hybrid of THE HUNGER GAMES except instead of the kids revolting against having to slaughter each other at the direction of their elders – they revolt against getting butchered by their loved ones.
So let’s look at the new teen fantasy franchises on the go!
THE HUNGER GAMES
DAUGHTER OF SMOKE & BONE
HOUSE OF NIGHT
SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN
It’s all happening!
