Word on the interweb is that the mighty WB are looking to develop a prequel to Stanley Kubrik’s much adored THE SHINING (based on the book by Stephen King). This comes in due time as Stephen King’s prequel DOCTOR SLEEP is about to hit bookshelves worldwide.
The LA Times reports that Warner Bros. is looking at turning the wheels on a prequel to Stanley Kubrick‘s “The Shining.” While a studio spokesperson insists it’s not officially in development (yet), WB is apparently already reaching out to Laeta Kalogridis (“Avatar,” “Shutter Island“), Bradley Fischer (“Black Swan,” “Zodiac“) and James Vanderbilt (“Zodiac,” “The Amazing Spider-Man“) to come up with a concept. – Kevin Jagrenauth, Indiewire
Now if someone can make an A.I. version of Stanley Kubrik to direct it – kung frakkin’ pow!
