The Film They Banned At Cannes – The French Comedy “The Anti-Semite”

Cannes has very strict rules when it comes to submissions for their markets, which is where this film was banned from screening, basically anything that will incite violence, offend religious beliefs or threatening public order will get the chop from participation. (Oh, and pornography is another one).

Well this puppy – about an alcoholic who dresses up as a Nazi for a party and let’s fly with a barrage of slurs – got the big NO-NO. You can check out the trailer attached.

The film also features Robert Faurisson, the notorious 83 year old British Holocaust denier who has spent most of the last 30 years in and out of court rooms, because of his far-out claims which are illegal to publicly state in many foreign countries. – Sergio, Shadow & Black

The film, made by French Maracoon Comedian Dieudonne M’Bala M’bala, has been wrapped in controversy but judging by the trailer just looks like nasty rubbish.

It’s easy target ‘comedy’ for quickest media reaction.

You be the judge. For me it’s a fail.
