Mission: Impossible 5 Is Happening

The TC renaissance gets another kick along! With MISSION IMPOSSIBLE GHOST PROTOCOL amassing a $679m global box office, the highest in the franchise, there was never any doubt as to whether a fifth instalment would come into play.

Viacom (who owns Paramount) CEO Philippe Dauman recently popped his head in a shareholder’s meeting in New York City, and when asked if there are plans to develop an “additional sequel,” he responded by saying, “Oh, yes.” While much of the talk pre-‘Ghost Protocol’ centered on Jeremy Renner possibly taking over the franchise, anyone who saw the movie knows that Tom Cruise is still very much commander-in-chief of the ‘Mission’ team, and given that his star power is now flexing its muscle once again, you can bet he will be back for “Mission: Impossible [Insert Weird Subtitle Here]

Tom Cruise is pretty much the busiest man in Hollywood at the moment, next to Bryan Cranston, with a wall of film projects on the go. No more news on MI5 as yet but as it does I am sure I’ll let you know and make a whole heap of jokes about scientologists, bad singing, questioning sexuality and Nicole Kidman.
