There’s just something about how horror films were made in the 80’s – the small town America feel, the attention paid to the central characters, the wardrobe, the lot! It just works for me. TRICK OR TREAT brings together two of my favourite things – banging supernatural horror and ripping 80’s metal!
When controversial rock star Sammi Curr dies in a hotel fire, his biggest fan Eddie Weinbauer is given his unreleased new album from a local radio DJ. When he plays the record he notices strange noises and decides to play it backwards… Then the mayhem begins.
It’s totally ludicrous, loads of fun, has cameos from Ozzy Osbourne and Gene Simmons and is just a cracking good time to watch.
FASTWAY wrote all the songs for the film, and it’ that classic big hair rock that bands like DEF LEPPARD, DOKKEN, STRYPER etc delivered!
Check this out — if you can find it — because now more than ever, it is such a horror romp that the films of today couldn’t stand up to.
