Paramount Pictures International Cracks $3 Billion In Ticket Sales 2011

In a record breaking year for the company, that has just turned 100, Paramount Pictures International has become the first studio to break $3,000,000,000 in ticket sales in a calendar year! A year of big winners for the studio, Paramount scored big on such titles as: TRANSFORMERS DARK OF THE MOON ($1b+), KUNG FU PANDA 2 ($501m), CAPTAIN AMERICA ($192m), PUSS IN BOOTS ($203m) and THOR ($269m).  The run is not over either with MISSION IMPOSSIBLE GHOST PROTOCOL (currently $70m and counting) earning exceptional dollars in its opening weeks internationally.
